Ben Runyon: 6’7″ RHP with 5+ Years of Professional Experience Seeking Club Overseas for 2018 Season
Having played with Ben Runyon in the summer of 2013, I can speak firsthand of his abilities. Ben is a tall and strong right-handed pitcher who can be used as a starter or a reliever. He has a good fastball which is in the upper 80’s and low 90’s, and mixes in a changeup and curveball as his off-speed pitches. Ben grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada but attended college in America so he could pursue a baseball career. Ben attended Johnson County Community College for a few years before transferring to NCAA Division II Lander University.
After graduating from Lander with a degree in exercise science, Ben signed a contract with the Las Vegas Trainrobbers in the Pecos League. Despite the Pecos League being an offensive-friendly league, Ben was very successful as the team’s closer. He held a 1.8 ERA through 25 innings and had 9 saves. Since then, Ben has signed professional contracts in numerous independent leagues throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Ben is now looking to take his baseball career overseas and get a chance to travel the world. He has experienced professional independent baseball at multiple levels, but now wants to take advantage of this opportunity to play overseas. He is looking for a team for the 2018 season who can offer flights, accommodations, and a salary to cover living expenses.

Ben Runyon is a tall. physical, lean muscular build, MLB body. His FB is 89-91, tops at 92, he has a lot of tilt to his pitches due to his height. Slider is his best secondary pitch that he uses to strike hitters out. He is a professional caliber pitcher and first class person. Whoever ends up signing Ben is getting someone who will help you win games and be a great teammate and representative in the community.

Ben has a wealth of baseball experience and has really grown into himself as he has matured. He has always had good stuff but now he pitches with a lot more confidence and has found the ability to let his stuff do its thing in the strike zone. He has a pro-typical pitchers body and has the ability to shut down some good offensive teams. Ben has been a good teammate in the past and would be a welcome addition to a club looking for an impact arm.

Ben Runyon is a class act on and off the field! He works hard and is definitely a good teammate.Ben is hard throwing right hand pitcher. I have seen him hit 92 on the gun! He can be used as both a starter or reliever. Has a nasty slider to compliment a good fastball.Ben is an excellent athlete. He is a great basketball player as well who can shoot the 3 and dunk. Ben can play OF or 1st base and swing it if needed.I have done a lot of kids camps with Ben. He is great around the kids. He is tough on them as well and does not put up with nonsense.Runyon is a class act on and off the field and would be a great fit wherever he went.
Ben is looking for a team overseas for the 2018 season who can offer flights, accommodations, and a salary to cover living expenses. He would be interested in playing for a team in Europe or Japan but is open to all offers.
