Dennis Neal – Professional LH Starting Pitcher. Two-time Pacific Association ERA leader
Dennis Neal is a left-handed starting pitcher who has been playing independent professional baseball since 2014, the majority which has been in the Pacific Association. In 2016 he had a successful stint in the CanAm League, holding down a 3.94 era for the Troís Rivières Aigles over 57 innings of work. In both 2014 and 2015 Dennis had the best ERA in the Pacific Association at 2.76 and 2.46 respectively over a combined 22 starts and 151.2 innings of work.
This is no surprise anyone who saw Dennis play his senior year of college ball at Texas College (NAIA) where he was the conference leader in strikeouts (93) earning him First Team All-Conference recognition.
Dennis describes his pitching repertoire as throwing a 4-seam fastball topping out from 87-89 mph, a 2-seamer topping at 85-88 mph, a 74-78 mph changeup, 68-72 mph curveball, and a 72-76 mph slider.
Dennis is open to multiple roles outside of pitching, including player-coach, player-youth coach and is comfortable hitting and playing outfield as well.
When asked why he wants to take his baseball career overseas Dennis replied:
“To continue playing the game I love, experience new cultures and countries, and potentially set up new career paths.”
Any club interested in a veteran professional left-handed starting pitcher who is open to a coaching role is encouraged to reach out to Dennis with any questions or expressions of interest.
