About Me

Hi my name is Jeffrey McKenzie.
I’ve been playing baseball since I was 3 years old. I love this game and want to continue my dream of playing it professionally. I went to Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, CA and I graduated in 2009. I was All-League both my junior and senior year and I was Second Team All-metro my senior year. After high school I went to San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton CA. I went to this junior college for 2 years. My Sophomore year we went all the way to the California Junior college baseball championship. I got to pitch in the Championship game. I was the starting center fielder for my junior college team and have only pitch a total of 5 innings that season up till the championship game. I ended up throwing a complete game and won the state championship. I was voted the tournament MVP. After playing at Delta I got a scholarship to pitch at CSU Bakersfield and had a great career at Bakersfield.
In my two years there I was Pitcher of the Year both years. I posted a career ERA of 2.27 in over 200 innings of pitching. I was 3rd team All-American my senior year at Bakersfield. I was drafted by the Chicago White Soxs in the 28th round in 2013. I played two years in the white soxs organization and got as high as Low A. I love this game more than anything. I want to continue playing this game for as long as I can.
