To Whom It May Concern:

It gives me great pleasure to be writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Noah Shaw.

Noah was a tremendous scholar and athlete at Lesley University. There are some people that are considered vocal leaders while others lead by example; Noah has been blessed with the ability to do both and do both very well. I have known Mr. Shaw for well over three years and during that time I have known him to be driven, responsible, friendly, cooperative, patient and a true team player for the athletic department, the institution and our university baseball team.

Noah is a leader that possesses many great attributes including immense integrity. He has great communication skills both written and oral, and possesses the innate ability to inspire and lead people of all ages. He is self-motivated, and follows through on everything he sets his mind to. He takes initiative and works very well with others. He is truly a leader in every sense of the word and is someone to be looked up to and admired. Noah was able to juggle being a full-time student-athlete, and excelling as one of the best varsity men’s baseball players Lesley University has ever seen. He was voted as captain of the team by his peers, which speaks volumes about his character. He is nothing short of an amazing young man and an amazing baseball player. Noah was not only a left handed pitcher and the anchor of our staff, but was also one of our better hitters. He has a drive and determination that I rarely see in an athlete. He is very goal oriented and someone that follows through on everything he sets his mind to.

While dedicated and spirited on the baseball field, Noah never fell short in the classroom. He was a wonderful student-athlete in every sense of the word and always strived for excellence in his academics. He was truly a role model for the student body and many of the athletes at Lesley University.

I feel very confident in strongly recommending Noah Shaw for spot with your team/organization.

I invite you to call me with any questions. I can be reached at (617) 501-1188.

About Me

> Hello,
> My name is Noah Shaw. I am a 25 year old looking to continue a Professional career in Baseball.
> I am a former College 6’4 200lbs left handed pitcher for Lesley University, Daniel Webster College and Hesser College. I now Play professionally over in Europe withe the Grasshoppers of Traiskirchen.
> As I can see you are really busy with this season. Here is a bit about me.
> I started college ball in the year 2009 for the Hesser College Blue Devils and won many awards including Player of the Week and Team MVP. I was 4th in the nation in strikeouts with 69 and k’s per 9 with 10.4. Along with that my ERA was a 2.88 ERA. With the Honors and stats I was named Freshman Captain before the season began which was a great honor.
> I transferred the next year due to the fact that I felt that I was looking for a better team and better College. Daniel Webster recruited me to play although I only played one season I was again named Pitcher of the Week and was a weekend starter. While on the team we won a conference championship and we were the most successful team in the programs history. I left due to personal reasons.
> My last and final and best stop was at a D3 school in Cambridge Called Lesley University. Baseball was just starting and I was named the teams first ever Captain. Although the team was not successful we did grow as a team and I was among the nation leaders in strikeouts and k’s per 9. Also while at Lesley I did have the Angels seek interest as well as talks with professional teams oversea’s (New Zealand, Australia). After my first season at Lesley I was invited to play in a Competitive summer baseball league in Boise, ID. I was named the teams opening day starter and was clocked at 91 MPH in the first game. Unfortunately I was pitching in the second game and heard a pop in my elbow, after numerous DR appointments and an MRI i was told that I had a torn UCL. Devastated that my senior year would be ruined I rushed back and after 6 months of recovery and what my Dr called a (freak recovery) I played my senior year as the Closer. I made a wrong choice in not red shirting I made a mistake because I was so anxious to get back on the field and battle with my teammates. My stuff was not what it was in the games I played I can say 3 of them I felt some what good. I did however record the first save in Lesley History and as well had a good strike out percentage. I have since healed and worked very hard not only on the field but in the weight room. I have not only grown from my experience but have become a better person I believe.
> I come to you looking for one shot to play the game I have loved since I was 4 it is a huge passion that I thought would take me far in life. I would love the oppertunity to try out for you team and show you my hard work, leadership, and passion for this game. Please call with any other questions my number is 8603835855. Again I just want a shot at proving all the doubters wrong that told me I couldn’t do it since I was 12.
> Thank you,
