Riley Moore – Four year Arizona Wildcat starting catcher and College World Series Champion (hit .412 in CWS). Freshmen All-American

Riley Moore was drafted in the 21st round out of high school by the Philadelphia Phillies but instead chose to attend the University of Arizona (NCAA I Pac-12). All 4 years at UA Riley was the starting catcher where from the left side hit a career .288 with 33 doubles, 10 triples and 6 home runs.

In his freshman year Riley hit .301 with 10 doubles, 38 RBIs as a starter for the 2012 Arizona team that won the College World Series. He earned Freshman All-America honors from Baseball America while also hitting .389 in 10 postseason games (.412 in the CWS). His senior year in 2016 was fittingly his personal best year where he hit .306 with 12 doubles, 3 home runs and 38 RBI.

After college Riley took his career overseas to what is regarded as the top league in Australian state league baseball, the South Australian Baseball League, where he hit .457 with 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 58 RBI in 116 abs.

Riley then signed with the Southern Illinois Miners of the Frontier League for the 2016 season. Riley had another successful season hitting .281 with 3 long balls, however it was not enough for the Miners and they released him during the offseason.

Riley decided to pause his baseball career in 2017 to return to school and begin studying physical therapy. However like any true baseball player, after a year of studying Riley’s focus has shifted back to baseball and is interested European baseball if the right situation comes along.

Any club interested in a professional level catcher who swings a big bat from the left side is encouraged to reach out to Riley with any interest or questions.
