Shannon Hughes – NCAA I power hitting shortstop seeking overseas career after graduation in May 2018
Shannon Hughes is power hitting shortstop currently in her senior year of college at the University of Tulsa (NCAA I) where she plays as a starter. Coming off of a massive sophomore season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (NJCAA I) where she hit .483 with 24 doubles, 15 home runs and 79 RBI, Shannon started all 58 games for Tulsa in 2017, hitting .237 with 20 runs, nine doubles, two triples, two home runs and 18 RBI.
During her time in junior college Shannon and her team went to two NJCAA national tournaments including a national championship runner-up finish in 2015. In 2016 she set the single season record for runs scored at Northeastern Oklahoma with a ridiculous 82! For her accomplishments Shannon was named to the 2016 Academic All-American Team and the All-District Regional First-Team.
Now Shannon is looking to continue her softball career overseas after graduating in May of 2018 and is open to all offers. Any team seeking a shortstop with a middle-of-the-order bat is encouraged to reach out to Shannon with any expressions of interest.
