Theo Lakmeche – Top French Division 1 Catcher seeking challenge for 2018 summer and 2018-2019 winter

Theo Lakmeche is a strong defensive catcher out of France who has played in the French first division since 2011 when he was 18. Now, at only the age of 24, he is the third ranked catcher for caught stealing in the history of the French first division.

In 2012 he represented his country at the European U21 Championships, a tournament which France won. Most recently he and his French University Baseball teammates played in the 29th Summer Universiade 2017 held in Taipei (see stats here).

Theo’s pop time ranges from 2-2.05 and he all-around abilities are improving every year, having yet to hit his prime. Theo is a contact hitter and has continued to improve every year. In 2017 he had his best season to date, hitting .278 with an OBP of .433 while only striking out 10 times in 97 abs.

Theo is looking to challenge himself in 2018 by playing at a higher level. He is open to all offers but a level which would challenge him outside of the French first division would be the German Bundesliga, Czech Extraliga, Spanish Division de Honor, Canadian semi-pro leagues or Australian summer or winter leagues.

He speaks fluent French and Spanish and is able to speak decent English, therefore is very teachable and able to be a leader on the field. Any club seeking a highly motivated and talented catcher is encouraged to reach out to Theo with any expressions of interest.
